Adding Your First Pet

Pet profiles give your provider all the information they need to provide the best care.

Creating a pet profile

1. Go to Pets in the navigation bar.
2. Click Add New Pet.
3. Fill in your pet's details.

What you'll need to provide

Basic information:

• Pet's name
• Date of birth (day, month, and year)
• Species
• Breed
• Weight, gender, and whether they're desexed
• Microchip number
• A profile photo

Feeding details:

• Food brand and type
• Morning and evening quantities
• Treats they enjoy
• Any foods to avoid

Medications:
After saving your pet's basic details, you can add medications from a separate step in the setup wizard (or later from the pet profile). Each medication includes name, dosage, frequency, and how it's administered. See the Pet Medications article for details.

Health information:

• Vet clinic name, phone number, and address
• Emergency vet clinic details
• Pet insurance details (insurer name)

Conditions (behaviour & medical):

• Tick any relevant behaviour conditions (e.g. anxious, reactive, well socialised) and any medical conditions or needs (e.g. diabetic, post-op recovery, blind).
• For each one you tick, set a severity (mild / moderate / severe) where applicable and add notes with anything specific to your pet — these are the details your provider relies on most. See the Pet Behaviour & Medical Tags article for a full walkthrough.

Before your first booking

You'll need to complete a pre-booking quiz for each pet before your first booking can proceed. The quiz covers vaccinations, health context, and consent items.
